Jefe and I work with a lot of older couples who are thinking of downsizing, and sometimes with individuals – mostly women – who have lost a spouse. We often discuss their vulnerability – alone and frail.
I heard a tip the other day that I thought would be good to share with readers. This would work for anyone, but I immediately thought of the aforementioned group.
When you go to bed at night, leave a set of car keys on your nightstand. If you suspect someone is trying to break into your house, hit the horn button on your key fob. It will likely scare off anyone with bad intentions, and if it doesn’t it will certainly alert the neighbors.
